Tayler only joined us for two years at BHCS, though she wishes it could have been longer. She started in Year 9 in 2004, but as the School was still small at that point and didn’t offer VCE, she moved to St Francis Xavier College.

In 2013, Tayler traveled to the US. Her boyfriend, now husband, proposed to her on top of 12498917_10154177588584258_396627049_n.jpgthe Empire State Building. So romantic! Tayler and her husband are in the process of building their first home. Currently she lives in Berwick with her in-laws, husband and puppy!

When she finished Year 12, she wanted to be a journalist. Unfortunately, after doing one journalism subject at Uni, she found he really wasn’t enjoying it.

“I ended up majoring in Communications and Public Relations! So things changed a lot! I am working as Marketing Co-ordinator for an Australian Toy company, Moose. One of the main brands in my portfolio is the number 1 toy in the US at the moment, Shopkins! I love my job, there is much variety and I am always working on something interesting.”

We asked Tayler what she missed about BHCS, ten years later. She said there was just so many memories, here’s a few: Blairgowrie Camp, cooking classes with Mr. Abraham, classes in our freezing cold portable classroom, our Year 10 formal and our Student vs Teacher basketball game (we are glad this tradition is still going!)

“I miss the people; we had such a small class, so we all became very close.” Tayler still keeps in touch with close friend Rachel O’Dowd. She recently got to be a bridesmaid in Rachel’s wedding, and Rachel was one of hers. “I think that is pretty special!”

What words of advice would Tayler leave us with? Three simple words…

“Be unapologetically you.”
